Gordy Motown Musical in Works?

ON BROADWAY: Motown Records founder Berry Gordy Jr. is developing a Broadway musical based on his life to set the record straight on the birth of the iconic Detroit label. The N.Y. Post quotes sources as saying Gordy has been quietly working with soon-to-be Sony Music head Doug Morris and Rent producer Kevin McCollum on the autobiographical story, which will be set against the backdrop of the '60s civil rights movement and feature a score of label classics, with an earmarked $100 million budget and the possible involvement of both Diana Ross and Smokey Robinson.
