Bachmann plays Petty song; Tom doesn't like it

SHE WAS A REPUBLICAN GIRL: Tom Petty, nonplussed that Michele Bachmann played “American Girl” when she officially kicked off her presidential campaign in Iowa Monday, immediately sent the candidate a cease-and-desist letter, but she did it again Tuesday at a campaign stop in South Carolina, Politico reported. The song blasted out of the PA as her speech ended, but ended after just half a minute, replaced by Katrina and the Waves’ "Walking on Sunshine." Wonder what Kimberly Rew thinks of that. (6/30a)
