Coldplay on Kimmel, YouTube

NET SERVE: Two new Coldplay songs will get their U.S. network TV debut tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live, taped earlier in the evening during the band’s show at the relatively intimate L.A. Tennis Center on the UCLA campus. The show airs on ABC at midnight. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Grammy in the Schools music education programs for high school students. The band will then head to Chicago, where they’ll top Friday’s Lollapalooza lineup. That performance will be viewable on YouTube, which will be streaming live from the fest for eight hours on each of the three days at www.youtube.com/lollapalooza. The Coldplay webcast will start around 6:30 PT. (8/3a)
