Lopez Tonight Canceled

LOPEZ OUT: There is one less late-night outlet for music. As expected, TBS has canceled George Lopez’s Lopez Tonight show, which received a stay of execution when the network added Conan O’Brian as its lead-in last year. The show, originally developed by Telepictures, will end its two-season run tomorrow night. Lopez Tonight had not been faring well in the ratings, especially after moving to midnight last fall to accommodate Conan, recently averaging 400k viewers and a 0.2 18-49 rating for original episodes. The only two late-night shows with minority hosts, Lopez Tonight and BET's The Mo'Nique Show, had the plug pulled within the past two weeks. (8/10p)
