Dangerbird Inks Dropkick Murphys

DANGERBIRD MANAGES DROPKICK MURPHYS: L.A. indie Dangerbird Records has signed a worldwide management deal with Boston’s Dropkick Murphys. Known for their rousing distillation of classic punk rock, Celtic folk and American rock, the critically acclaimed band has sold more than four million albums worldwide. The latest, Going Out in Style, for their own indie Born & Bred label, distributed through Warner Bros.' Independent Label Group is their sixth consecutive studio effort to debut on the chart. The Murphys will perform two sold-out hometown shows at Boston's Fenway Park Sept. 8 and 9 with special guests The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Massachusetts 9/11 Fund as well as the band's charity The Claddagh Fund. Dangerbird represents more than 30 artists as managers, label, or both, including Fitz and the Tantrums, Beady Eye, Silversun Pickups, Eagles of Death Metal, Minus the Bear, Ben Lee, Butch Walker and the Black Widows, Jon Fratelli, and producers Tony Hoffer (Phoenix, The Kooks) and Justin Meldal-Johnsen (M83), among others.
