Primary Violator formed

MOVING VIOLATOR: Primary Wave topper Larry Mestel, Music and Violator Management founder/CEO Chris Lighty have teamed up to create a management firm they’ve dubbed Primary Violator. The joint venture will bring together Lighty and Michael “Blue” Williams, who heads up Primary Wave’s management arm. Said Mestel, “Teaming Chris Lighty and Blue Williams creates the most powerful, intelligent and hardworking pop culture management team in the music business. It’s an honor for Primary Wave to team up with Chris and his staff.” Along with managing its clients, Primary Violator will provide in-house branding via Brand Synergy Group, digital marketing company BrightShop and Lighty’s Brand Asset Group, as well as utilizing Primary Wave’s film, TV, videogame, advertising and TV development team.
