UN-VAILING: Russellville, AR, band Deas Vail’s new self-titled album on the indie Mono Vs Stereo label hits AmazonMP3.com today for $3.99, the follow-up to the group’s last CD, Birds & Cages. The indie band, often compared to Death Cab for Cutie, Mew, Copeland and Mae, is distinguished by frontman Wes Blaylock’s wailing vocals and poetic songwriting. The album was produced by Relient K guitarist and Mono Vs Stereo A&R exec Matthew Hoopes. Download it for the special discount here. It’s the outfit’s sixth album and second for Mono Vs Stereo, the Franklin, TN-based label founded in 2003 as an imprint of Gotee Records. In May, they released a lyric video of their new song, "Sixteen",with another video, "Summer Forgets Me", premiering on Alt Press’ website a month later. (10/10p)
