Hank Williams Rare Recordings Released

HANKS FOR THE MEMORIES: Hank Williams: The Legend Begins, a three-CD package featuring some of the earliest recordings of a 15-year-old Williams and four songs from a home tape made in 1940, has been released by Time Life with the late country legend’s estate. Two of the CDs feature tracks from Williams’ Health and Happiness, his first syndicated radio show in 1949 using the technology that earned praise for last year's Grammy-nominated The Complete Mother’s Best Recordings…Plus! Williams’ daughter Jett, who first received the recordings years ago, and went about seeing if they could be enhanced to modern audio standards, raved. “What a special treat for music lovers around the world to listen to the talent of an evolving genius. These recordings are a godsend and very special to me and Hank’s fans.” (11/2p)
