Foster Adds Verve to UMG

FOSTER CARE: As we told you, Grammy-winning producer/songwriter and artist David Foster has officially been named Chairman of Verve Music Group by UMG Chairman/CEO Lucian Grainge, to whom he’ll report. Foster will be joined on his senior creative team by SVPs A&R Jay Landers and Jaymes Foster along with producer/engineer Jochem van der Saag and VP A&R Dahlia Ambach Caplin. The team will focus on acts in the Adult and Pop field. The Canadian Foster, whose discoveries include Michael Buble and Josh Groban, has produced a wide range of music superstars including Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, Mariah Carey, Seal, Gloria Estefan and Neil Diamond, to name just a few. His credits include the best-selling soundtrack of all time, The Bodyguard, and over the course of his career, has collected 16 Grammy Awards, an Emmy and a Golden Globe, as well as three Academy Award nominations for his music.
