MACCA HITS BOTTOM: Paul McCartney’s new Hear Music/ Concord album, slated for release Feb. 14, will be called Kisses on the Bottom, after a line from the album’s opening track, Fats Waller’s “I’m Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter.” The new release is a collection of standards Macca grew up listening to in his childhood as well as two brand-new songs in “My Valentine” and “Only Our Hearts.” The album was produced by Grammy winners Tommy LiPuma and Diana Krall, with guest appearances from Eric Clapton and Stevie Wonder. Other tracks include “It's Only A Paper Moon,” “Bye Bye Blackbird,” “The Glory of Love” and “Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive.” The deluxe CD album will feature two bonus tracks plus access to a download of the live Capitol Studios show, where it was recorded. McCartney is being honored as MusiCares' Person of the Year on Feb. 10, the Friday before the Grammys are held in L.A. (1/9a)
