Hit Music Central blurb

NO TRACK DATES ALLOWED! The live-performance series Hit Music Central USA will debut on the NBC Nonstop Digital Cable Channel in April. The hour-long show will feature hits acts as well as selected indie and developing bands, with some legendary bands sprinkled in. Rock, R&B, pop, hip-hop and country will be represented. In addition to the broadcast audience, Hit Music Central is designed as a “social TV” experience, with audience engagement via mobile and web. Content will be pushed out to fans virally via HitMusicCentralUSA.com, and through Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. Says NFocus Entertainment’s Mark Hill, the show’s creator and executive producer: “HMC is about highlighting live performances and true musicianship in front of a live audience; no track dates allowed! We often see artists performing during the last five minutes of a late-night talk show, but there is no television platform where they can premiere live several songs from their new album. Hit Music Central offers that platform.” Taping begins on Feb 6-8 in front of a live audience from the Grove of Anaheim. David Mitchell, formerly of Urban Network and now Publisher of Amalgamation magazine, is the show’s GM of Talent, Booking & Programming ([email protected]). (1/17a)
