WILCO EAT THEIR SPINACH: In the most recent Popeye comic book, the N.Y. Times points out, artists Frank Caruso and Ned Sonntag paid tribute to Wilco with a panel that featured the Wilco Brand Spinach Company and showed the band playing on a wharf as boxes of the product were loaded aboard a ship, also called the Wilco.
