CC Artist Integration programs: Macca, K'naan

THAT’S SOME PAIR: Clear Channel has announced that its latest Artist Integration partnerships are with Paul McCartney and K'naan. Beginning Jan. 31, the two week-long campaign for Macca’s Kisses on the Bottom (Hear Music/Concord, 2/7) will run across CC’s Classic Rock, AC, News/Talk and Classic Hits formatted stations and will include artist profile spots, custom artist pages, banner ads, online promotions with direct links to iTunes and an exclusive interview. CC will also partner with A&M/Octone for a two-week-long campaign to launch K'naan’s latest single “Is Anybody Out There” featuring Nelly Furtado, from his new album Country, God or the Girl. The program will include a series of on-air artist profile spots that will run across CHR and Hot AC stations nationwide. Said Tom Poleman, President of Clear Channel National Programming Platforms. “At our Music Summit last fall, our Clear Channel program directors fell in love with K'naan’s new project. We’re excited to jump-start what’s sure to be K'naan’s breakout year. It's also exciting to play a key role in the launch of music’s greatest living legend, Sir Paul McCartney.” (1/30a)
