Ratner to Direct Milli Vanilli

GIRL YOU KNOW IT’S TRUE: Brett Ratner will indeed direct the long-in-development Milli Vanilli movie, which has a screenplay by his Rush Hour partner Jeff Nathanson, and will be produced by Jason Blum (The Reader, Paranormal Activity) for Universal Pictures. Ratner was recently quoted in the L.A. Times offering the role of Fab Morvan to French actor Oscar Sy, star of the foreign hit, The Intouchables, which opened in L.A. last week after topping the box office in France and earning $340 million internationally. Sy won the Cesar, the French equivalent of the Oscar, for Best Actor, besting The Artist’s Jean Dujardin. Longtime Morvan manager Kim Marlowe is executive producer of the film, which is expected to start production this summer. (6/4p)
