Lal Joins Universal Republic's New Division

SANDY’S DANDY AT UNIVERSAL REPUBLIC: Music business veteran Sandy Lal and his management and production company Kingpin Entertainment Group have joined forces with Universal Republic's Twenty First Republic, a new producer and engineer management team. Lal will oversee the company’s move into urban and pop music following his success with Dash, the first artist signed to his Titanium Music Group, whose “Night of My Life” is the theme song to MTV’s Jersey Shore spinoff, The Pauly D Project. Said Universal Republic President/CEO Monte Lipman: "Sandy is one of the most forward-thinking managers in the music business. I have an incredible amount of respect and admiration for everything he's done with Kingpin. He's truly a leader, and he's going to help guide Twenty First Republic. At least that's what he tells me." The move will also bring producer/writers Infinity, DJ Montay, Joe Boom and Chris CJ Jackson into the fold. Lal has produced and worked with Lil Flip, Flo Rida and Lauryn Hill, among others, since founding Kingpin in 2002.
