Opening Act Ratings Up on E!

ACT NATURALLY: Last night’s E! airing of Opening Act beat the show's premiere on July 9 by another 31%, after last week showed a 16% increase. The music competition show, created by EA’s Steve Schnur with executive producer Nigel Lythgoe, discovers new talent on YouTube and gives them five days to prepare to be an opening act for a top-name star. Last night’s episode featured 16-year-old Oklahoma singer/songwriter Kylie Morgan performing before Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan. Next Monday night’s episode finds Denver TV salesman Jono opening for Jason Mraz in Hawaii. (7/24p)
