Stipe not happy about Fox News using “Losing My Religion”

YE OF LITTLE FAITH: Michael Stipe took a shot at Fox News Friday on R.E.M’s website for the right-wing cable channel’s use of a snippet from “Losing My Religion” to suggest the ungodliness of the Democrats. "We have little or no respect for their puff adder brand of reportage,” said Stipe. “Our music does not belong there." The band and its pubco, Warner-Tamerlane, demanded that Fox News “cease and desist from continuing its unlicensed and unauthorized use of the song.” (9/10a)
