Led Zep reunion show rock doc, live album

RAMBLE ON: Celebration Day, a film documenting Led Zeppelin’s one-off London reunion performance in December 2007, will get a worldwide theatrical release by Omniverse Vision on 1,500 screens in over 40 territories on Oct. 17. Tickets for the screenings, which will follow premieres in London, L.A., N.Y. and other major cities, just went up for sale on ledzeppelin.com. Four weeks later, on Nov. 19, Celebration Day will be released in multiple video and audio formats from Swan Song/Atlantic. Meanwhile, Led Zep will be one of the recipients of the 2012 Kennedy Center Honors, leading to the inevitable speculation about a second reunion performance. Will the special occasion soften Robert Plant’s stated unwillingness to perform with his former bandmates again? We’ll find out a couple weeks after we learn who the next President will be. Bet Paul Ryan would love to be there, either way. (9/13a)
