Adele Does Bond

ADELE TAKES A SKYFALL: It's not quite official yet, but following in the tradition of Shirley Bassey, Nancy Sinatra, Lulu, Carly Simon, Gladys Knight and Tina Turner, Adele will sing the theme song to the upcoming James Bond movie, Skyfall. That’s according to our man, Showbiz 411’s Roger Friedman, who’s been touting this scoop for several weeks now. The last Bond theme, “Another Way to Die,” for 2008’s Quantum of Solace, was sung by Jack White and Alicia Keys. Adele would be the first solo female performer to do a Bond song since Madonna crooned the title track to 2002’s Die Another Day, the last film to star Pierce Brosnan as Agent 007. The new song would be Adele’s first piece of new music since last year’s Grammy-sweeping release of the 9.8 million-and-counting 21. (9/24p)
