iHeartRadio launches Evolution

IF WE COULD DANCE, WE WOULD: iHeartRadio is celebrating the launch of its new EDM station, Evolution, with "a five-day studio takeover" by Brit DJ Pete Tong (famed for hosting BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix), starting on station debut date Nov. 12, and a private show by Grammy-winning DJ/producer Afrojack at New York's iHeartRadio Theater on Nov. 14 at 7pm. Tong's "takeover" will offer interviews with other DJs, guest mixes, and lots of lots of the pulsing dance tracks that our own Ivana has likened to the sound of crickets chirping. The new station will enjoy mad hype on iHeart parent Clear Channel's Pop, Rhythmic and Alternative stations as well as various iHeart channels. (11/8p)
