Dr. Luke Launches New Kemosabe

LUKE’S COOL HAND: The first Dr. Luke release under his Kemosabe deal at Sony Music will be Juicy J on Columbia Records. The first single, “Bandz a Make Her Dance,” featuring Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz, has already sold 330k, while breaking out at Urban and Rhythm radio. Will new EVP/GM Joel Klaiman swoop in and blow this wide-open? In addition, Warrior, the upcoming sophomore album by Ke$ha, on Kemosabe/RCA, is off to a huge start behind the first single, “Die Young,” and may well be headed for a #1 debut after it hits retail Dec. 4, with first-week projections up to 150k. “Die Young” has already gone over a million in sales, with a radio audience of nearly 500k, thanks to promo chief Joe Riccitelli’s aggressive multi-format campaign.
