THREE VIC-TORS: Sylvia Rhone has announced three staff appointments to her new Vested in Culture label. Margeaux Rawson is SVP of Operations, Amanda Berkowitz is VP of A&R and Shaniqua Branch is Manager. All will be based in N.Y. and report to Rhone. Rawson previously worked with Rhone as SVP of Media Relations at Universal Motown. Prior to that, she held editorial positions at Entertainment Weekly, Time Out New York, Vibe and Suede. Her byline has also appeared in Rolling Stone, Spin, GQ, Interview, Marie Claire, Essence, O, The Oprah Magazine and Travel + Leisure, and she has appeared as a pop culture expert on television programs such as ABC’s Good Morning America, CNN’s American Morning, MTV News, E! News and A&E’s Biography. Rawson will manage the label’s day-to-day operations and serve as a liaison between VIC and Epic. Berkowitz, who started her career at Atlantic, is responsible for signing Latin pop artist Kat Dahlia and R&B singer/songwriter Deon Young to the label. Branch, who previously held administrative assistant positions at Warner Bros. and Atlantic, will provide support to Rhone and oversee the label’s administrative operations. (2/6a)
