Kevin Arnold to NARM's digitalmusic.org

ARNOLD GETS DIGI WITH IT: Current Sony Music EVP and Senior Advisor to the Global Digital Business Group Kevin Arnold will serve as co-chair with Microsoft’s Christina Calio of NARM’s digitalmusic.org. Arnold founded IODA, which merged with The Orchard in 2012, growing the startup into one of the world’s largest digital distributors of independent music. “Having been a NARM participant since the early days of IODA, I've had a front row seat watching the dramatic change the industry has undergone over the past decade,” Arnold said. “I look forward to helping guide digitalmusic.org’s future as we face a new set of opportunities and challenges.” Arnold is also founder and director of Noise Pop Industries, which produces San Francisco’s Noise Pop Festival and the Treasure Island Music Festival. Kevin has previously served as Director of Data Services for online music startup Listen.com and at the computer technology corporation Oracle, where he buffed Larry Ellison’s loafers. (2/25a)
