George Jones' Farewell

GOODBYE TO GEORGE: Country music legend George Jones’ final concert will be on Nov. 22, 2013 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, the culmination of his 44-date farewell “Grand Tour.” Garth Brooks, Kid Rock, Shelby Lynne, the Oak Ridge Boys and Sam Moore have been added to a line-up which includes Dierks Bentley, Charlie Daniels, Jamey Johnson, Montgomery Gentry, Lorrie Morgan, Kenny Rogers, Randy Travis, Tanya Tucker, Josh Turner and Gene Watson. “Being joined by so many incredible singers while doing what I love will be truly heartwarming,” says Jones. “It’s shaping up to be more than I expected or could have ever imagined.” Dude don’t need your rockin chair… not yet anyway, as we figure out “who’s gonna fill those shoes.” (2/26a)
