Stringer Named UJA-Federation Music Visionary

THAT VISION THING: Columbia Records Chairman Rob Stringer will be honored with the UJA-Federation of New York’s 2013 Music Visionary of the Year Award at the org’s annual luncheon, 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 21, at the Pierre in N.Y. The UJA-Federation provides groceries and warm meals to the hungry, helps unemployed adults find meaningful work and ensures troubled teens finish high school, while offering them the opportunity to attend college or enter occupational programs. The Federation also supports the Music for Youth Initiative to provide music education programs for underprivileged youth. For more information, contact Steve Singer (212-836-1452) or [email protected]. Rob will perform a set of Clash covers on his portable karaoke player for the occasion. (5/7p)
