HE'S IN THE MONEY: Michael “Sha Money XL” Clervoix has been named EVP Urban A&R for Epic Records by Chairman/CEO Antonio "L.A." Reid. Sha Money will be in charge of building the urban roster by signing and developing new artists while overseeing artist development and key aspects of the recording process. “Sha Money has time and again proven to be a cultural leader and has my complete support in ushering in the next generation of hip-hop stars,” said Reid. Sha Money began his career in 1996 when he interned at Def Jam and JMJ Records, where he met a young 50 Cent, acting as his A&R, manager and producer. He then became President of the rapper's G Unit Records. His production credits include albums by Stevie Wonder, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Slim Thug, Juvenile and the entire G Unit roster. Sha Money was previously SVP A&R for Island Def Jam, where he is credited for signing 2 Chainz and Big K.R.I.T. (5/13p)
