Willie gets plaque

WHERE THERE’S A WILLIE, THERE’S A WAY: Willie Nelson recently took a break from touring his Face the Music and Dance album, on Sony Legacy, to receive a plaque commemorating career album sales of more than 60m—presumably enough loot to keep the legend and his busload of pals fully baked for several decades. Seen sidling up to Willie are (l-r) Sony Music/Legacy Recordings President Adam Block, VP of Content/A&R John Jackson and SME Commercial Music Group prexy Richard Story. This photo op kinda chokes us up, because Willie has long been a role model for all of us here in the cesspool—or was it that bong load of primo kush we just sucked in? Hope we have his lung power when we turn 80. (6/28a)
