Saturn to Harvest

KING HARVEST HAS SURELY COME: Harvest may not be the biggest label on the grid, but it now has two of the most colorfully named execs running it, as Jacqueline Saturn joins Piero Giramonte as co-GM. CMG EVP Michelle Jubelirer, Saturn’s new boss, broke the news this morning. The Harvest co-leaders mandate is to take an indie-label approach—“signing a select group of innovative artists and helping them achieve success, while empowering them with the freedom to pursue their artistic visions.” Saturn will move from New York to L.A., where she’ll rejoin fellow Epic alum Steve Barnett; the two worked together for nine years. The news occasioned a flurry of quotes: Jubelirer noted that everybody’s “psyched” to have Saturn on board, Girramonte expressed confidence that the move is “a major step forward in our mission at Harvest,” and Jacqueline describing Barnett as “a great friend and mentor over the years.” Her arrival means the Capitol Tower is now at full capacity.
