iTUNES CHARTS: It’s change-over Tuesday, and you know what that means: a whole new array of herb available from UMPG security. There are also some brand new releases in the iTunes Top 10s, starting, respectively, with John Mayer’s rustic Paradise Valley and Katy Perry’s empowering “Roar,” making us feel simultaneously mellow and motivated. Mayer leads six debuts onto the big board, representing hip-hop (Earl Sweatshirt, A$AP Ferg), singer/songwriter (Ben Rector), rock (Blue October, Tedeschi Trucks) and parrotheads (Buffett). There’s action on the singles side as well, as the certifiable smash from Avicii rockets upward, with Gaga tagging along and soon-to-be HITS album chart-topper Bryan hanging around. (8/20a)
