Michael Alexander upped to SVP Int'l, UMG East
TODAY, THE WORLD: Longtime UMG exec Michael Alexander has been upped to SVP International for Island Def Jam, Motown and Republic, reporting to czar of East Coast Labels Barry Weiss. Alexander began his career at IDJ in 2005; he became VP of International for IDJ last year. In addition to overseeing global campaigns for artists under the Eastern umbrella, Alexander will give tours of the UMPG dispensary to foreign dignitaries. (9/6p)
