Weatherly and Martin new powers at CBS: for Sun. PM

CHAIN OF COMMAND: With Greg Strassell departing CBS for Clear Channel, the radio chain's hierarchy will be restructured, with CBS execs Kevin Weatherly and Michael Martin taking on expanded duties. The two will work in tandem with labels in developing chain-wide artist initiatives in the vein of those undertaken by Clear Channel. Weatherly (who will retain control of key stations KROQ and KAMP) and Martin (who holds on to KLLC and KITS) will be the gatekeepers in these initiatives to provide exposure for new and superstar acts alike; expect announcements about these in the near future.
