Bartels-Afrojack photo op

TALL STORY: “I just flew in from Vegas, and boy are my arms tired,” says Afrojack to Steve Bartels as the two compare heights while hanging out at IDJ HQ. Moments later, the label chief would ask the DJ/producer and Island Records associate to sign his copy of The New Yorker’s 9/30 issue, which contains a story recounting Afrojack’s exploits spinning at the aptly named Sin City dance venue XS. Afrojack then explained to Bartels that “clubbing” has nothing to do with the use of a blunt instrument to discipline employees. (10/3a)
