HEART-SHAPED BALLOTS: For the second year running, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has opened the voting on the 16 nominees, with each voter picking five, the results of which will be tallied along with the other 600 or so votes cast by the org’s voting members. Taking a look at the fan voting, for which the org keeps a running tally, Nirvana unsurprisingly leads the way with 87,852 votes (15.35%), followed by Kiss with 79,596 (13.91%), Deep Purple with 68,758 (12.01%), Yes with 61,399 (10.73%) and Peter Gabriel with 53,219 (9.3%). That’s the top five; Hall & Oates is currently in sixth place with 46,144 (8.06%). (10/17a)
