iTunes U.K. charts

iTUNES U.K. CHARTS: Lily Allen is back with a new label (Parlophone/Warner Bros.) and a new song—an elegant, understated cover of Keane’s “Somewhere Only We Know” recorded for use in a commercial, or advert, as they say over there. The animated spot, which you can see here, is for the John Lewis chain, which previously propelled Ellie Goulding’s cover of Elton John’s “Your Song” to #2 on the U.K. sales charts. Lily’s next “official” single and video, the feminist satire “Hard Out Here (For a Bitch”), the lead track from her 2014 album, will likely make some noise in the British store when it becomes available for download on Sunday. Also returning to the U.K. charts is fellow EMI veteran Robbie Williams, who wasn’t part of the Parlophone deal; he’s now a UMG asset. (11/15a)
