YOUR WEEKLY MARKETSHARE SCORECARD: The winner and still champ, to no one’s surprise, is IGA, with the #1 and #2 albums in Gaga (260k) and Eminem (another 208k), plus an added boost from the resurgent Imagine Dragons (#15 this week with 19k, +11%). There’s also a holdover at #2—CMG, on the strength of #5 Katy Perry (46k), the #7 Beatles (whose second volume of BBC recordings bowed with 37k) and #16 Arcade Fire (18k). Tidily, the Big Five labels, as we’re prone to call them, comprise the top five in weekly marketshare, with RCA returning to the top tier after being usurped a week earlier by UMG Nashville, which settles back to the #6 spot, which also happens to be where the company is YTD.
