DOWNLOAD THIS: It’s another Tuesday morning, and once again we see the familiar pattern: the appearance of a bunch of debut albums on one chart, 10 stone-cold smash singles on the other. Both versions of the latest Def Jam/IDJ’s YG are on the big board, but two of the top three albums are from rock bands: Columbia’s Foster the People and Razor & Tie’s female-fronted The Pretty Reckless, sandwiching EDM star and Rolling Stone cover boy Skrillex. Disney’s Frozen soundtrack, the lone incumbent, is sure to charge back toward the top as the week goes on, shoved along by today’s physical release of the film. The newest occupants of the singles leaderboard are The Chainsmokers (Dim Mak/Republic), the one-off duo of DJ Snake & Lil Jon (Columbia) and Florida Georgia Line (Republic Nashville), who have once again reached cruising altitude, so to speak.
