Scooter-Jason photo op

SOUTHERN BOYS IN LA-LA LAND: Last week, a pair of dynamic duos paid a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Warner Bros. Nashville’s Dan + Shay were there to perform, while Scooter Braun and Sandbox Entertainment’s Jason Owen were there to rub elbows with other celebs and snag some Ellen-brand underwear. At the time, all of the above were hoping that Dan + Shay’s Where It All Began would become the third straight album by a Sandbox management client to bow at #1 on this week’s Country chart, following Little Big Town and Kacey Musgraves, and that’s exactly what happened. The rookies also have the distinction of being the first Country duo to have their debut album top the chart on release. We hear the four of them drained an entire case of Mountain Dew in celebration. (4/10a)
