FAST FRIENDS: As you may have noticed last night, Miley Cyrus won the MTV VMA for Video of the Year. You also may have noticed that she did not accept the award herself. Instead, the RCA star sent a young homeless man named Jesse to accept the award "on behalf of the 1.6m runaways and homeless youth in the United States who are starving, lost and scared." Jesse directed viewers to Miley's Facebook page to help raise awareness on the problem; there, the above video explains that anyone who donates $5 to My Friend's Place, a homeless shelter in Hollywood, will be entered in a competition to win a trip for two to Brazil and VIP concert tickets (with backstage access) for a stop in Miley's Bangerz Tour. Donations can be made here; wrecking balls sold separately. (8/25p)
