Provo, UT, pop-rock combo Neon Trees and X Factor U.K. boy band phenoms JLS enter the HITS Vibe-Rater tally this week.
Mercury/IDJ’s Neon Trees are breaking through with “Animal,” the first track from their upcoming label debut, Habits, which is gaining traction at leading PoMo stations KROQ, Q101, KITS, 89X, 91X, KRBZ, WLUM and KNRK. Placements include Melrose Place, VH1’s Secrets of Aspen and CW’s Life Unexpected, with a nod from AP as one of its Top Bands to Watch. Jive/JLG’s JLS are recent multi-Brit Award winners who have sold more than 1 million albums in two months in U.K. and had two singles debut at #1 on British charts. Group includes Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, Jonathan “JB” Gill and Oritse Williams. The debut U.S. single, “Everybody in Love,” is already added at WKQI, KFRH, WFLY and WSNX.
