RYSER RISES AT ALLIANCE

Comes Aboard in Newly Created Post of Senior Vice President
The digital-on-demand expert is in demand. Alliance Entertainment has hired Karl “The Sun Also” Ryser in the newly created position of Senior Vice President. Ryser will oversee two divisions for AEC: All Media Guide (AMG) and Digital On-Demand. AMG provides media information and technology solutions, DOD, true to its name, distributes digital entertainment, on-demand.

Ryser will be based at the DOD HQ in Carlsbad, CA and will report directly to Alliance Entertainment Alan Tuchman.

Said Tuchman: “Karl Ryser, Jr.’s expertise and background will give Alliance the opportunity to develop both AMG and DOD to their fullest potential. I am pleased that he will oversee these two integral divisions and to work with the whole of Alliance in offering our customers an expanding suite of services, plus he helped me hook up my TiVo when he first came into the office.”

Added Ryser: “I expect outstanding opportunities for AEC especially as we bring AMG and DOD under a unified management team. Our customers will benefit from the expertise dedicated to these cutting-edge, best-of-breed companies, and it’s kind of cool to see the scared look on people’s faces when I tell them where I’m working because they think DOD means Department of Defense.”

Ryser was most recently a consultant to the DOD division. Prior to that he served as Sr. VP/CFO of Vidyah, a Knowledge Universe company. He has also served as Sr. VP/CFO to I-link Incorporated, a pioneer in IP. Before that, he was VP Finance, Treasurer & Director of Investor Relations for Megahertz Corporation, a developer and manufacturer of PCMCIA cards for ethernet, LAN, WAN and modems. Don’t worry, you won’t be tested on any of that.
