According to reports, an internal search team for Horovitz' replacement had narrowed the field so some four finalists, but could not reach a consensus. NARM officials are now expected to retain an outside firm to help in the search process.
A statement from Schlang praised Donio. "Jim's long tenure and extensive experience with all facets of NARM," it reads, "as well as his familiarity with the many challenges we have faced and will continue to face in the coming year, will contribute significantly to the success of the association."
Donio has been with NARM since 1988, most recently holding the title of Executive Vice President. He will obviously be a much needed lynch pin in planning NARM's upcoming annual trade show that has been moved for the first time to August from its usual slot in early March.
