WEEK IN PREVIEW: OUTKAST, STEWART MEASURING UP

It Will Be Clay's Day, But Race For #2 Is Tight
The fires are almost out, the smoke is still clearing, and this week's #1 album will be Clay Aiken's Measure of a Man. That will make three weeks in a row for the RCA disc.

Don't snooze just yet: Arista's OutKast and J Records' Rod Stewart will be battling back and forth for the #2 spot, with around 125k in sales. Keep checking the Building Album Chart. Entertain yourself with those amusing Guy in the Goggles sounds. Anything to keep from working.

This week's top debuts will be from RCA's The Strokes and the best of from R.E.M. (Warner Bros.) which should land right around 100k. Just behind them will be Gerald Levert (EW/Elektra/EEG), who should land around 85k. Hot damn.

And just when you think it couldn't get any more exciting, there are a lot of monster CDs that will be on the shelves as of Tuesday morning: Sarah McLachlan (Arista), Ja Rule (IDJ), P.O.D. (Atlantic), Toby Keith (DreamWorks Nashville), Coldplay (Capitol), Default (TVT), Wyclef Jean (J Records), and Ryan Adams (Lost Highway).
