There’s a ton of pre-impact adds on Capitol’s Dirty Vegas and a fuckload of play for Eminem’s "Without Me" (Interscope). Fuckload is apparently radiospeak for "a lot."

WEEK IN PREVIEW:
RECORDS ARE BLOWING UP

Or Maybe That Was Just This Morning’s
Bomb Threat
Another day, another three hours spent outside the building while the Los Angeles Police Department searches the HITS cesspool.

Bombs aside, on the Album Chart, it’s a hoedown for BNA’s Kenny Chesney, as his No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem will lasso the top spot. Look for a Top 10 debut for the Sony Classical soundtrack to Star Wars Episode Two: Attack of the Clones, a movie our website technical staff is already waiting in line for, and a smashing first week for Arista’s Cee-Lo. The band that Bud Scoppa keeps talking about, Nonesuch’s Wilco, will have a smashing debut as well.

Keep an eye on the Building Album Sales Chart to see how all your favorite albums are doing, and if we’ve had to evacuate again.

Streeting this week: Roadrunner/IDJ/Columbia/Sony Music Soundtrax’s Spider-Man ST, A&M’s Vanessa Carlton and Cash Money/Universal’s Big Tymers.

In radioland, all sorts of things are blowing up: At Top 40, Most Added looks like Universal’s Paulina Rubio and Virgin’s Aaliyah, with honorable mentions to Island/IDJ’s Rubyhorse and RCA’s Trik Turner. There’s also a ton of pre-impact adds on Capitol’s Dirty Vegas and a fuckload of play for Eminem’s "Without Me" (Interscope). Fuckload is apparently radiospeak for "a lot." HITS Crossover, Urban and Mix communities (aka The Block) were afraid to come in, but from their bomb shelter said it would be Universal’s Paulina Rubino, Def Soul/IDJ’s Lovher and Rise/Columbia’s Amerie in Xover and J RecordsRL in Urban. The shell-shocked Rock department claimed that Most Added would be Atlantic’s Audiovent and Roadrunner/IDJ’s Jerry Cantrell, while the bomb-sniffers in PoMo tell us that Course of Nature’s "Wall of Shame" (Atlantic) will explode. Finally, the last bomb pun involves Atlantic’s Corrs/Bono cover of Ryan Adams’ "When the Stars Go Blue," which is going KA-BOOM at Adult.

Finally, a good reason to hide under our desks.
