"Our fundamental goal will always be to continue to provide enhanced services to our publisher clients in the fastest, most efficient and most economical manner possible. And if that doesn't work, there's always carrier pigeon."

HARRY FOX BANKS ON CHURGIN

Ex-Citibank VP Tapped For Licensing Agency
At least he knows how to count money.

Former Citibank VP and Director of that company's e-business Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment Gary L. "Like A" Churgin has been named the new President/CEO of the Harry Fox Agency by Chairman of the Boards of HFA and the National Music Publishers' Association's Irwin Z. Robinson "Crusoe."

The Harry Fox Agency, Inc., provides an information source, clearing house and monitoring service for licensing musical copyrights, acting as an agent for more than 26,000 music publisher principals who represent more than 150,000 songwriters, 148,987 of whom are suing MP3.com. The company also conducts periodic licensee audits on behalf of its principals.

Churgin has over 20 years experience in banking and management, with areas of expertise in e-commerce, sales, operations, administration, change management and where all the best nude photos are on the Net. Churgin has an MPA from the Wharton School and a BA from Washington & Jefferson College. His wife Amy is publisher of Architectural Digest.

Commenting on the appointment, Robinson cited Churgin's experience in strategic program development, management and "blowing smoke up his superiors' butts." "We are delighted to welcome Gary as the new President of HFA at this important time in the music publishing industry."

Added Churgin: "I look forward to the challenge of leading HFA at this crucial period. The Internet presents great opportunities along with enormous challenges, and as the electronic age is changing the very nature of the music business, our fundamental goal will always be to continue to provide enhanced services to our publisher clients in the fastest, most efficient and most economical manner possible. And if that doesn't work, there's always carrier pigeon."
