STESSEL APPOINTED PRESIDENT AT MCY.COM

Industry Veteran To Cultivate Strategic Relationships, Build Content, Acquire Tchotchkes
Digital entertainment site MCY.com today (8/23) appointed Larry "On My Wayward Son" Stessel president of its music division.

In that capacity, Stessel will direct the development and acquisition of all music content, including cultivating strategic relationships within the music industry and building MCYs content library and music assets. He will also be in charge of pulling the copier away from the wall should a staff member accidentally chuck the Nerf football there.

MCY.com offers pay-per-view and on-deman Webcasts of concerts and secured digital downloads of music.

"Larry brings 25 years of extensive experience from within the music industry, including many years in senior management positions at EMI, Sony, Mercury and Epic," said MCY Chairman/CEO "Once" Bernhard "Twice Shy" Fritsch, in a totally extemporaneous statement filled with only trace amounts of superlatives. "MCY is already at the forefront of online events and with the addition of Larry to our team, we will be in a stronger, more competitive position in acquiring and developing content. But first, hell take my car for a good detailing. One must have priorities."

Stessel held a variety of positions (standing, sitting, leaning) at Epic Records during his 15-year tenure, most notably as Senior VP of Marketing. Continuing his Senior VP trend, Stessel also served as Senior VP/GM at Mercury, Senior VP of International Marketing at Sony Music Entertainment and Senior VP/GM at EMI Records.

Laying the groundwork for his latest presidential gig, Stessel founded Trillium Entertainment, where he served as Presidentadvising independent labels and artists on marketing and development strategiesand served for two years as President of Independent National Distribution for Alliance Entertainment Corporation.

According to his resume, Stessel can bend steel bars with his bare hands, can sing the alphabet in random order and once ate an entire six-pack of Jell-O butterscotch pudding at a sitting.

MCY.com is NOT the company that offers discounts on its "friends and family" service plan.
