David, whose debut single, "Fill Me In," was released nine months ago, is vying for Best British Album, Best British Male, Best British Dance Act and Best British Newcomer at the annual awards show.
Veteran Irish band U2 will to be honored with a lifetime achievement award at the ceremony, which is scheduled to take place Feb. 26 in London.
Robbie Williams, who holds the all-time record with nine Brit Award wins, is up for two trophies this year. The former Take That vocalist is also scheduled to perform live at the ceremony, as is David, U2 and Westlife.
Westlife, Coldplay and Sonique scored three nominations each. Coldplay is up for Best British Group, Best British Album and Best British Newcomer; Sonique is nominated for Best British Female Solo Artist, Best British Dance Act and Best British Newcomer; and Westlife will vie for Best International Group, Best International Newcomer and Best Pop Act.
Other acts to receive two nominations each include Ronan Keating, Britney Spears, Jill Scott, Pink, Moloko, Radiohead, Toploader, Badly Drawn Boy, Fatboy Slim, David Gray and Artful Dodger.
U.S. music lovers yawned when told of the nominations.
