EXECUTIVE MOVEMENT
AT VARIOUS LABELS

And We’re Not Talking About What Goes On Inside The Executive Bathrooms Either
Guess it's that time of year again. Before the holidays get here, when the industry shuts down, some labels have announced new staff appointments and company promotions.

Clive Davis' J Records has named "Oh Say" Ken "You See" Wilson Senior VP of Urban Promotion.

Wilson, a former president of Black Music at MCA, recently founded White Label Music. Based in New York for Davis, Wilson will report to Ron "Me & Julio Down By The" Gillyard, Senior VP, Black Music.

Oscar "My Sweet" Llord, who most recently served as president of Sony's Latin music arm, has been promoted to the newly created position of Chairman of Sony Discos. In his expanded role, Llord will continue to oversee the activities of Sony Discos and its labels but also take on duties tied to crossing over Sony Music artists into the English- and Spanish-music worlds.

Llord, who is based in Miami, will report to Fred "Oh The" Welzer "Fargo Wagon Is A-Comin'", President of Latin America for Sony Music International, and Thomas "Only From The Mind Of" Mottola, Chairman/CEO, Sony Music Entertainment.

Llord was credited for the crossover success of such artists as Ricky Martin, Elvis Crespo and Marc Anthony.

Dave "Can Sing Like" Curtis "Blow" has been promoted to Senior VP, label and catalog sales at Sony Music Distribution.

Based in New York, Curtis, who has served as VP catalog sales since 1997, will report to Senior VP sales and new technologies Craig "A Is For" Applequist.

In his expanded role, Curtis will be Sony Music's sales liaison to all labels for new releases and will continue to supervise catalog sales for the company.
