Formed in the late ‘80s, N.W.A.—which also featured Eazy-E and DJ Yella—was responsible for the seminal gangsta rap albums "Straight Outta Compton" and "Efil4zaggin." The group disbanded in 1992 when Dre left for a solo career. His subsequent album "The Chronic" was not only one of hip-hop’s most popular albums, but it also launched the career of Snoop Dogg.
Since the group’s breakup, Dre, Easy-E, Ice Cube and MC Ren have engaged in highly publicized feuds. But shortly before Easy-E’s 1995 death from AIDS, the group made amends. The "Farmclub" performance will be the first time the three have recorded or performed together publicly.
The reunited N.W.A. will perform "Chin Check" (from Ice Cube's recently released "Next Friday" film), their classic "Straight Outta Compton" and Dr. Dre's "Nuthin' But A 'G' Thang". Snoop Dogg and Tha Eastsidaz will perform "G'd Up" from their debut album. Also scheduled are a solo turn by Ice Cube and Snoop teaming with Xzibit and Nate Dogg.
Shirley MacLaine will be on-hand to channel the spirit of Eazy-E, if necessary.
