Kid Rock will make his motion picture debut opposite David Spade in an upcoming film called "The Adventures Of Joe Dirt," which will begin filming in Los Angeles on Monday (May 8).
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rock plays Spade's rival in the film that leads to both men fighting over the attention of the same woman, played by Britney Daniel.
"I've seen Kid Rock's videos, I know his music and his whole feel is what this movie is about," Spade told The Hollywood Reporter. "I called him and asked him to do it. He gets to drive a Trans Am in this movie, so he's pretty happy."
Meanwhile, Kid Rock will drop "The History of Rock," a compilation hitting stores via Atlantic Records on May 30, and he will participate in the Summer Sanitarium tour with Metallica, Korn, Powerman 5000 and System Of A Down, which kicks off June 30 in Foxboro, MA.
