Users wll be able to get information about tracks they hear on the company's online stations, then purchase the music either as a download or custom disc. Shows include at least 100 songs apiece, including PoMo, hip-hop/urban, dance/electronica and jazz material.
Web radio outlets have been struggling to achieve prominence amid ferocious competition and the mass appeal of file-sharing apps like Napster, but the companies involved clearly hope that being able to customize one of those shiny round things will give them a leg up.
